Born and bred in Rangiora (rang-ee-oh-ra), New Zealand, this prize-winning Merino Ram was a product of the first efforts to improve fleece fibre in the flock.

Merino sheep flourish in the South Island of New Zealand due to their ability to weather the extreme conditions. Every year, their wool is shorn and the sheep are returned to the hills to grow another fine fleece. Merinos are known world wide for producing a thick fleece of extraordinarily fine and soft wool.
